These days, with all the political upheaval in the world, I find myself reading light, easy beach reads. I just can’t read about abuse, abject poverty, violence, racism, war … there is too much of that on the news! This book didn’t disappoint. It was fun, fast and pure escapism into summer on Nantucket and privileged people. There were a lot a characters to keep track of, but now that I read reviews that mentioned it is her last book, I get why she included some from prior books. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Love her style of writing and have read all her books. This one, of all her books, was my least favorite. It was the content that wasn’t my cup of tea. But I’m just old fashion and believe in relationships between men and women. To each his own. I still love her though. Wish that she would continue to write but I understand her wanting free time. Wishing her the best.

This was a bittersweet book for me to read. I’ve read all of Ms. Hilderbrand’s books. I felt like my summer started each year when her Summer release came out. I had to pace myself with Swan Song because I didn’t want it to end. Great storyline. Elon Hilderbrand, enjoy your retirement! This is truly the end of an era for me.

This is one of my favorites by this author. I felt like the ending was just a little too abrupt and a little too unbelievable, but I really enjoyed the book nonetheless. I would definitely recommend especially if you like Hilderbrand’s other novels.
